Oh, and if you're wondering why I put the meat in a separate dish it's because I prefer to have my meat heated, this way I just pop that in the microwave and don't have to spend time separating the meat from the salad.
Recipe:
- Chicken fillet
- Any lettuce, whatever you prefer
- Cucumber
- Tomatoes
- Mozzarella cheese
- Seasoning of choice (I used a barbeque mix and chili powder)
01) Start by frying the bacon without any butter or oil in the pan, the bacon is fatty enough in itself
02) While the bacon is frying, start chop and rinse your lettuce, I prefer just ripping it up into little chunks and using a salad spinner to rinse it (salad spinners can be bought pretty much anywhere that sells kitchen appliances)
03) Chop up your other vegetables and the mozzarella into whatever shapes and sizes you like
04) When the bacon is done frying, place it on a plate lined with paper towels to suck up the remaining grease
05) Fry your chicken in the bacon grease that's left in the pan, season to taste
06) Done! To save some time you can always do the dishes while you wait for the chicken to be done
