As I mentioned in my previous post I was planning to go to IKEA either this or next weekend, it turns out I need to go to a store that's really close to an IKEA to get my computer exchanged/fixed (I'm hoping they just exchange it so I don't have to go through the hassle of having it fixed), so I figured I might as well just do my IKEA shopping while I'm there. Here's what I'm going to get: 01. Hampen rug // 02. Kallax shelfing system // 03. Songe mirror // 04. Songe mirror // 05. Knipsa basket // 06. Uddgrund shower curtain // 07. Mosslanda shelf // 08. Tjusig coat rack Like I said before, I've lived in this apartment for over a year and don't own a full length mirror. I also don't own a bookshelf, which is what the KALLAX shelf is for. My coat rack broke not too long ago as well so I need that, and my shower curtain is utterly disgusting so that definitely needs to be replaced. I really can't wait to get everything together. ☺

Good morning everyone. It's monday and I'm tired as hell, getting back into my routines is much harder than it should be. If I could, I would much rather take a second vacation and be gone for three more weeks. Anyway, last week me and a friend went to IKEA (I needed the extra muscle strength to carry my new coffee table along with some other stuff), and I came home with the coffee table I've wanted to buy for quite some time. I have to say I'm pretty pleased about it. I'm thinking of putting some self-adhesive marble on the top shelf, like I did with my nightstand not too long ago (as seen here, and here). There is only one problem with that idea, and that is that the table is round - no harsh edges means it's way harder to get the table to look good. At this point it's just an idea, it doesn't have to be done straight away. I would also like to add some pictures to the wall above my sofa (because yes, I've lived in this apartment for a year now and I still haven't hung up any pictures), and I was thinking I'd get these three (see below ↓). I think they look really good. And my apartment pretty much has a white, purple, and pink color scheme so I think that these would go really well with the rest of my interior. ☺ This isn't something I'm gonna buy right away, but I like planning what I want my home to look like. Anyway, click the images to get straight to each poster.
I need a new coffee table for my living room, and I've found one that I really like - but it costs 7.290 sek (approx. 746€) which is way too pricy for me. So I've decided to settle for another table from Jysk. But looking at them like this, right next to eachother, makes the expensive one look so much prettier...
☺ Yesterday I took the day off to move all my stuff to the new apartment. With two movers and the help from my parents we'd moved everything in five hours. Followed by like four more hours of unpacking. I'm still not done, but it's getting there. This afternoon I'm bringing my sister to IKEA to buy a kitchen table and a tv bench for my living room, then we're going back home to put it all together. ☺
♥ Inspo i galleriet nedan. I know it might seem completely crazy to start thinking about Christmas in mid October, but one of my colleagues went shopping for Christmas tree decorations on her lunch break the other day and came back with a bunch of glittery decorations. At that moment the Christmas spirit got it's hold on me. Much like how when you drink something warm you can feel it spread in your body. ☺ So of course I started thinking about how I'm gonna decorate my tree this year (now that I actually have enough space to even have a tree!). I'd love it to be completely "Americanized", over the top with so many decorations that you can barely see the tree underneath. ♥ To get an idea, check out the gallery above.
As many of you already know (or have figured out), I love interior design/decorating - and in about a months time I'll be moving to a new apartment. This has of course added to my interior decorating craze. I love interior designs that go in different hues of gray, white, pink/purple - partly because it looks so clean and simple, but also because when you decorate in different hues from the same color scheme it makes everything look so much more cohesive. Like someone really put some thought and care into it. Anyway, I've saved my inspiration on my pinterest boards, so if you wanna check that out you can visit my pinterest page. If you want to have a look at a completely unorganized frenzy of interior deco ideas you should check out the Interior Design board, if not - I've saved you the trouble of finding boards yourself, just click one of these links: bedroom, living room, closet space, kitchen, dining room, balconies/terraces, and bathroom.
♥ I would describe my interior decorating style as typically Scandinavian - I like light/white, which sounds very cliché (and also kinda contradicting considering that I currently have a black couch and black dining table and chairs, white is more of a detail than a constant right now), but white is a great color for interior decorating since it makes a room feel more spacious and you can brighten or cozy things up by adding colors to your pillows/blankets/curtains etc. To get a clearer idea of what I wish my home would look like you can check out my Pinterest board "Interior design". There's a lot of bright coloes and details in pink, grey and metallic. ♥
It's very important to me that the apartment that I live in has a balcony. I grew up in houses and am used to being able to just open a door and have nature right outside. - something that I miss living in an apartment. To be able to just go outside and read a book or have a barbque lunch, just being outside, I miss that a lot.
Right now my balcony is barely inhabitable, the furnishing consists of two chairs that I inherited from my grandmother and a foldable table that I got from my brother's girlfriend. But I know exactly how I want it - I want the colors to be pink, grey and white (my favourite colors when it comes to interior design/decorating) so that it feels like an extension of the entire aparment. More like another room, but outside. But, sadly I can't afford to do that now so it'll have to wait, but you can always get inspired!
