Obviously I can't write a post today without mentioning the extreme chaos that the snow has created recently. It's been snowing non stop for about three days, with no signs of stopping. There are no buses and all taxi companies seem to be booked until at least 5 p.m. - I don't even know if I'll get home tonight! Worst case scenario I'll have to walk.
Hi everyone. I've decided to do my best to start blogging again. I went through my archived posts and realized that I miss it, and it's fun to have to look back on. Not making any promises but I'm gonna try to post a couple of times a week. Of course I also have to say something about the US presidential election, because everyone is talking about it. Everyone seems shocked that Donald Trump won and, believe me, I get it - he's an awful person and I am in no way supporting him - but I'm not surprised. What I think that us Europeans don't understand (and they talked about this on the news this morning) is how extremely hated Hillary Clinton is in the US. Now I don't know politics, at all, so I'm not gonna talk about things that I don 't know, but regardless of how we feel about Donald Trump on a personal level, he was elected and all we can do now is wait and see how he handles it. Like my dad said when I spoke to him this morning; Donald Trump will not be making all decisions alone (thank f*ck for that!). There's still a congress that will have to vote for any proposal he puts forward. So like I said, let's wait and see.
